Just the other day, Microsoft held a great big press event where they announced all manner of Square-Enix RPGs heading to the Xbox 360. With all this Xbox love, Sony fanboys began to worry that perhaps their beloved publisher was jumping off Sony’s ship and swimming over to Microsoft’s shores. "Maybe," they fretted, "Final Fantasy XIII will come out on the Xbox 360, and then the world will end!"
It’s a reasonable fear, considering that the previously PlayStation-exclusive Grand Theft Auto franchise appeared on the Xbox and that BioShock is now on its way to the PS3, to consider that such a thing may happen. However, Square Enix has put fans’ fears to rest by announcing that FF XIII is still only being developed for the PS3.
So rest your weary heads Sony fanboys, and let visions of Cloud, Tidus, and Vaan lull you to sleep. When you wake up, you’ll be one day closer to playing a game that likely won’t be released in our lifetimes.
