Just the other day, we trotted out the full list of Fallout 3 Achievements and one of the immediate questions on everyone’s mind was, "What about the PS3 Trophies?" Sadly, Pete Hines today revealed that the company has not included any Trophy support in his teams massive upcoming title. Hines did leave the door open for Trophies down the road, but his comments don’t exactly come as a ringing endorsement:

"Not at launch...It remains to be seen what we do down the road. It wasn’t something we were able to incorporate into the game for launch."

So the true optimist can hold out hope that Bethesda will eventually release an update with Trophy support, but in the meantime, you’ll just have to go without seeing that little icon and watching your bar fill up anytime you do something especially cool in the game. Alternately, you can just make up your own Trophies. My Trophies will give me a platinum award and a billion points every time I kill a mutated rat. That’s right, I’m awesome.
