For anyone out there eagerly awaiting DICE’s parkour-injected Mirror’s Edge (which should be all of you), the title will officially make its debut for the PS3 and Xbox 360 November 11. Unfortunately, PC owners will have to wait, as that version has been delayed until "later this winter."
Mirror’s Edge tells the story of Faith, a courier in a gleaming city whose sister has been framed for murder. In this seemingly perfect world, all civil liberties have been traded away in the name of absolute safety and security, and Faith works for the resistance, running messages from one side of town to the other with the cops hot on her tail. The game features death-defying leaps and aerial acrobatics at dizzying heights, all in the name of staying one step ahead of pursuers.
I have been pumped for this game ever since it’s debut at GDC back in February, and getting to try it out at E3 only makes me want to get my hands on it that much more. If you’re constantly complaining that games aren’t innovative enough and that we tend to rely on the same tired formula over and over then you need to pick up Mirror’s Edge, no questions asked.
